Squardron 250 founded in 1986
SAL, John P Hand Squadron 250, supports all Legion activities, community projects, and child welfare.
The national Sons of the American Legion was founded in 1932 and exists to honor the service and sacrifice of Legionaries.
Members include males of all ages who parents and grandparents served in the U.S. military and were eligible for American Legion Membership. This organization in not a separate entity. It is a program of the American Legion and many Legionaries hold dual membership.

All male descendants, adopted sons and stepsons of members of The American Legion, and such male descendants of verterans who died in service during World War I, World War II, and Korean War, The Vietnam War, Lebanon, Grenada, Panama, and the Persian Gulf War, during the delimiting periods set forth in Article IV, Section 1, of the National Constitution of The American Legion, or who died subsequent to their honorable discharge for such service, shall be eligible for membership in the Sons of The American Legion.
